The Secrets We Keep...
Lush in it's depth and brilliance. Layers upon layers of oil paint. The Secrets We Keep draws the viewer into something private, intimate and quiet. There is a gravity to what is being withheld and what is being exposed that's as intriguing as it is alluring.
Free Fall
Find your bliss and peace in FreeFall.
FreeFall captures the the desperate need for peace.
In all the insanity during covid, FreeFall was my escape.
As my first oil painting, she took over a year to complete.
Winner of 'People's Choice Award' at Franklin Art Festival.
Champion's Rise
The generous use of pink hues made me smile with the challenge to traditional masculinity but ties the piece together as the red shorts evoke connotations of a boxer, the winner, the favourite in the fight.
The mist surrounding him helps create the atmosphere of the uncertain hell he is going through, but mist also rises, like our champion, he will rise, stronger because of what he's gone through.
Winner of the online 'People's Choice Award' in category 'Strength' at Franklin Art Festival
Salvation
Salvation is about struggle. The dust and pollutants creating the haze in this piece represents my clouded mind about our planets future.
Gold spray paint was used last as I choose to believe there is hope, that as a race we will figure it out and find Salvation.
